What is aurora definition?

Aurora, also known as the Northern Lights or Southern Lights, refers to an incredible natural light display that occurs in the sky in high-latitude regions. These phenomena are caused by the interaction between the Earth's magnetic field and particles from the sun’s atmosphere that enter the Earth's atmosphere. When these charged particles collide with the molecules in the Earth's atmosphere, they release energy in the form of light, thus creating the beautiful and vibrant colors of the auroras. These colors can range from green, red, blue, and even pink. Aurora borealis, or Northern Lights, is usually seen in the northern hemisphere, while Aurora australis, or Southern Lights, is seen in the southern hemisphere.
